MerchTV is a new cable TV show from National Lampoon
Challenge
MerchTV needed a way to bring their cable TV show viewers across to their online store and collect clearly defined demographic data from the shop visitors so they can send them very granular merchandising offers. The survey process had to be integrated into the user creation process and the results available via 3rd party applications to make offers to potential customers.
Solution
The Freeway consultants worked closely with MerchTV to define and integrate a survey process which would flow well and discover the required information and make a great user experience. Background work was completed so website users could also modify their listings. The customised changes were made avaialble via the Freeway webservice so all the new csutomer data could be interfaced securely by external applications.
Results
MerchTV now has a shop where the customers happily provide very detailed demographic information about themselves so the value of TV show viewers who become website visitors can be more easily monetised via extremely granual offers like SMS coupons etc. The shop is templated like the main website causing an almost transparent transition from main site to shop. | | | This record is maintained by the user: damohickey |
